1. What preliminary research have you conducted on the topic.

The preliminary research that I have done to day is information on the Women in the Church in the Middle Ages.

2. What were some basic roles that women undertook in the church.

Some of the basic roles the women had to do was to do good for the churhc and not get married. The women were limited to spirituality and they could inherit land and hold fiefs. The women were also used for child bearer, manual labourer, cheap labourers, church would not allow women to hold jobs that required literacy etc…..
3. Compare these roles to what your mother would do everyday.

Not all of these roles my mother does because in these days, the father does most of the labour work outside of home, and the women do most of the house work such as washing the dishes, washing the cloths and dusting etc…

4. Evaluate in your opinion whether women had it easy or tough. Explain Why?

In my opinion, I think women had it really hard because, they were all treated the same as labourers, and to tke care of children, hospitality, nurses and basically just to do what the men had told the to do.

1. What do you believe that this project is about?

I believe that this project is about the Women in the Church in the Middle Ages and how they were treated.

2. What do you hope to achieve in this project?

I hope that I can achieve in this project to always be on task and understand every part of the project given to us. Also to get everything done n time for what has been asked.

3. What contributions can you make to the group.?

The contributions I think I can bring to this group is computer skills because I feel that I’m good at most of the computer programs given to use for this project.

4. What ideas do you have for the project?

Some of my ideas are to use Photoshop for making the montages and my having a slide show of images for this project.

I have continued this journal part of practical part 2 as you saw in journal 2.

The second part of this practical was to get 30 sheets of A4 paper and split them into two halfs which was 15 sheets each side. We then had to put the 15 sheets side by side of each other and then just push them together to show and see which plate collides. Then the other part of that pract was to push it against our science text book and that showed us that the sheet of papers were rising higher and higher as we pushed it against the book

In this lesson we did a practical which was into to lesson. I will talk to you about the first part of the prac and the 3 journal i will tell you about the othere half of the practical.

So in this practical we got an A3 paper and cut it down length ways to split it into two halfs. After we did that, we coloured in every 5cm a different colour. Then we had to get two desks and join them together and pull the piece of paper down the middle to show how the tectonic plates work which was interesting.

In todays lesson I learnt how to make the beaker filled up with cold water hot and to add some patasium into it so we could see the stain that it reacts to.

Also we did another one which was the same way of making the water hot, but we had to place an ice pack on top of the water and drop the crystal down and the stain had stayed upright to the beakers top.

1. What CST and IST grade what you allocate yourself for this project? Justify your response.

 I think that the grade that I would allocate myself to would be a B grade because I feel that I did work my part in this project. Also I think that i played my part well in this project but I could have done better.

1. What could you do tonight that would improve your grade?

 I think that I would get my journals done probabley and to finish any work that is uncompleted to recieve a better grade for myself.

1. What grade do you think your team will give you for teamwork? Why?

 I think my team will give me a good grade because I played my role in a good way. I believe that i could have done better but in my next project I will push myself to achieve a better grade.

1. Thinking about your presentation on Monday, what do you need to do to score an “A” grade? (hint: Look at the presentation skills). What could you do before Monday, to ensure you receive an “A”?

I need to get an A by looking at everyone with eye contact, have my speech ready and revise it well and to have the audience catchy for them to enjoy the presentation.

In yesterdays lessons I worked on the project sheet that Mr. Vuki gave out.

Then I researched some of the questions that we to be answer as part of the project to be done.

WHAT DID WE DO TODAY IN CLASS ?

Today in class we did look at the secondary document and made up a new KNOW and NEED TO KNOW list for this project and we also did a group meeting to discuss what each group member is going to do today.

1. WHAT YOU LEARNED TODAY?

Today I learned that this project Green Up is to redesign Westmead by making a better environment for everyone. Also I learnt that if I ever need help with doing my journals I could look at other people’s journals to get a rough idea and not to copy their work. I learnt how to use the Habits of Mind sheet to reflect over my journals.

2. WHERE YOU ARE ACHIEVING YOUR TASK OR GOAL?

I am wanting to achieve at my task at being more aware at what I am doing and to understand the rubric to get the research done.

3. YOUR NEXT STEPS?

My next steps are to follow this sheet to get my journals done well and right as the teachers want me to. Also my next steps will be preparing with my group to get organised and to start research in the next few lessons as this projects has already started.

4. ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE ABOUT ANYTHING?

There is one question I want to ask is ” How and what do we use to redesign Westmead? ”

1. Analyse why red sunsets can sometimes be more impressive when there is more dust or pollution in the air than usual.

Well i think that red sunsets can sometimes be more impressive when there is more dust or pollution because this dust and pollution can give off a different colour to a normal colored sunset.

1. Describe what happens inside water droplets to cause a rainbow and explain how you can tell whether a rainbow is a primary or secondary.

A collection of suspended water droplets in the atmosphere serve as a refractor of light and the water represents a medium with a different optical density than the surrounding air. Light waves then refract when they cross over the boundary from one medium to another.
